Happy New Year and Thank You!
As the year and the decade have come to an end, I felt compelled not only to wish you all a Happy New Year, but also to offer our clients sincere thanks for allowing us the privilege of representing them and their families, and for the successes we have enjoyed in doing so.

We don’t measure our success by financial bottom lines. We do what we do to help military members and their families during very difficult times. Therefore, we define success by how well we were able to help our clients and their families and by outcomes that positively resolved the case against them and set them up for future successes.

As we look back on the decade, it is marked by positive outcomes and grateful clients. That is extremely gratifying for us. Some of those successes are documented in our blog, which only began in November 2006. Here are some links to the outcomes of some recent cases:

In fact, I have represented eight clients accused of murder, attempted murder, solicitation for murder and/or manslaughter over the recent years. I realize how hard these cases are on the accused clients and their families, and I truly feel honored that they have entrusted their defense to me. Likewise, given the recent focus by the military on alleged sexual crimes, I have defended numerous clients against claims of sexual crimes. We are very thankful for the successful outcomes we have been able to secure for our clients. But, as I always warn, while the military trials/cases described by the post links above were successfully defended, it is important to understand that every case has different facts, and success in previous military courts-martial and military cases does not guarantee success in any particular future court-martial or military case. No military lawyer or civilian defense lawyer, including those who specialize in military law, can guarantee the outcome of any military case or military trial (court-martial).
